We are looking for a skilled scriptwriter and/or editing agency who can perfectly capture the modern Ray William Johnson style of storytelling for YouTube. The right candidate will be able to take real news/events/stories and turn them into fast-paced, sarcastic, and punchy commentary videos that hook viewers and keep them engaged from start to finish. Research and identify unique, bizarre, or under-told stories that fit the RWJ format (verifiable, ironic, escalates, roastable). Write 1300 to 1500 word scripts that match RWJ’s current voice: Start instantly with “So this…” / “Look at this…” Short, punchy sentences that flow fast. Sarcastic, casual tone with PG-safe humor. Mock absurd behavior, highlight irony, and keep it blunt but funny. Edit video content to match pacing and style (if applying as an editor/agency). Suggest title ideas in RWJ’s proven formats (This is __, He’s __, She’s __, I have mixed feelings about __). Deliver 2–3 scripts/videos per week minimum. Requirements Proven experience in YouTube commentary, comedy, or story-driven content. Ability to mimic RWJ’s tone and pacing without generic or clickbaity writing. Strong research skills (fact-checking, novelty check, irony/escalation spotting). (Optional) Video editing ability to match RWJ’s visual pacing, cuts, and meme-style inserts.
