  • Inclusion, collaboration, innovation and courage.
  • These values speak to our desire to create places where all people belong, listening and learning from one another in a way that sparks ideas and leads to positive changes in our industry and community. They also demonstrate our commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture. And, if they resonate with you too, we should talk!
  • We are 100 percent employee owned and proud to be the first and largest B Corp certified national technical builder in North America, meaning we put our values at the centre of everything we do.
  • Continuous improvement is core to our success. Championing innovative and collaborative ways to build is just one example of that. Collaborative construction leads to more efficiency, cost savings, social value, and a much better working experience for everyone.
  • Every day, our teams are working to build places for people to live, work, learn, serve, and play. But above all, we’re building community. And, we’re looking for like-minded people to join us. Together, we can build a better world.
  • Job Description
  • Hourly position
  • Are you the kind of person who knows the difference between a rotary hammer and an impact driver — and can spot a worn-out blade or cracked housing at a glance? Join our in-house tool repair and logistics team supporting commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects. We’re looking for someone who’s worked with tools professionally — not just moved them — and who takes pride in keeping gear organized, functional, and field-ready.
  • What You’ll Do
  • Inspect, service, and perform minor repairs on a wide range of hand tools and light equipment — including drills, grinders, nail guns, generators, pressure washers, and more
  • Pick and fulfill tool orders from request forms, walk-ins, and phone calls
  • Load, unload, and organize tools and gear across warehouse zones and storage yards
  • Conduct incoming/outgoing inspections to ensure tools are safe, functional, and ready for deployment
  • Coordinate external repairs and recertifications for torque wrenches, fall protection gear, and other specialized equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces across the warehouse and external shop areas
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a trade or tool-intensive role — such as carpenter, carpenter’s helper, equipment technician, or tool rental associate
  • Strong familiarity with construction-grade tools and equipment — you’ve used them, not just moved them
  • Comfortable identifying tool wear, damage, and basic repair needs (e.g., replacing handles, cords, blades, filters)

Experience with tools such as

  • Cordless and corded drills, impact drivers
  • Concrete and demolition hammers
  • Grinders, saws, pneumatic nailers
  • Portable generators, air compressors, pressure washers
  • Plate compactors, torque wrenches, rigging gear
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing ladders up to 20 ft, and working in varied field conditions
  • Able to safely secure loads, operate around forklifts and service vehicles, and follow proper body mechanics for lifting and handling
  • Required Certifications and Credentials
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract
  • Certifications That Set You Apart!
  • WHMIS, First Aid & CPR, and forklift/operator tickets
