Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Distribution Supervisor to lead operations at our Belleville Distribution Centre. This role is accountable for the end-to-end management of all warehouse activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sound decision-making, and a commitment to safety and compliance with legislative and organizational policies, with an eye to Operational Efficiencies. Candidates must be flexible to work either Day or Afternoon shift. Day Shift is Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3pm. Afternoon Shift is Monday to Thursday only from 3pm to 1:30am.

Duties

  • Supervise unionized warehouse staff to ensure efficient and effective use of manpower
  • Develop staffing schedules based on anticipated inbound and outbound workflow to optimize productivity
  • Manage product storage using SAP-based configurations to maximize warehouse floor space
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify customer needs and document clear distribution procedures
  • Maintain accurate inventory values through routine cycle counts and reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve claims involving shortages, damaged goods, or over-billings in accordance with company procedures
  • Review and approve employee timesheets, coordinate holiday scheduling with HR, and monitor attendance
  • Provide coverage for fellow supervisors during vacations, leaves, and other absences
  • Train new staff and monitor ongoing compliance with safe work practices and onboarding procedures
  • Communicate regularly with other supervisors and managers to coordinate activities and share updates
  • Set clear expectations for performance and demonstrate a high standard of work ethic and safety-conscious behavior
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related company policies
  • Monitor and evaluate Distribution Centre performance against service level targets
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to support operational excellence
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to resolve operational issues and enhance productivity
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Operate and oversee warehouse management systems and related equipment
  • Work Closely with management to prioritize specific projects and provide feedback on current performance status against established KPI’s
  • Assist team members in implementing and maintaining 5S workplace organization standards to ensure a consistently safe, clean, and efficient environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support Distribution Centre goals

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within a warehouse or distribution centre environment
  • Previous experience managing people in a unionized workforce environment
  • Passion for sports or previous experience working or playing in a team environment also preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Fluent in English (oral and written);
  • Strong ability to interpret and execute written and verbal instructions
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Extensive experience with SAP and Extended Warehouse Management (eWm) systems, preferred
  • Familiarity with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ARS) is a plus
  • Skilled in handling escalated customer concerns with professionalism and sound judgment
  • College diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Competent in using warehouse management systems and operational tools
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario health and safety regulations and workplace compliance
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Leadership & Supervisory Expertise Proven experience coaching and managing floor teams, including 16–30 unionized employees. Builds and maintains positive working relationships with staff, peers, and management.
  • Adaptability & Agility Demonstrates flexibility in responding to shifting priorities and operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills Confident and articulate communicator, both verbally and in writing, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and department leaders.
  • Attention to Detail & Time Management Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines under pressure, and prioritize competing responsibilities. Known for strong follow-through and accurate execution.

Pay: $70,000.00-$74,000.00 per year
