Description: We’re looking for a skilled Video Editor to help us bring a new online, self-paced educational course to life! The ideal candidate has experience editing professional training content and understands how to make educational material both engaging and accessible. This is a freelance, remote project with the potential for on-going work as we look for a partner to assist with our course production. About Us At Cross-Cultural Communications, we offer excellence in training, publications, and consulting, with a special focus on medical and community interpreting as well as cultural competence. Our interpreting programs support staff interpreters, bilingual staff, freelancers and interpreter trainers. Project Scope We’re producing a series of self-paced, educational interpreter courses and need a video editor to support the creation of both long-form and short-form instructional video content. This role will include: *Editing long-form interviews with subject matter experts into short-form instructional clips. This includes trimming, cleaning up audio/video, and adding visuals or context where helpful/necessary. The interviews typically have 30-45 minutes of content, and are split into segments approximately 2-8 minutes in length. *Editing short-form “host” video segments, typically 1-3 minutes in length *Cleaning up raw footage for clarity, pacing, and flow *Enhancing audio quality (e.g., removing background noise, adjusting levels) *Ensuring a consistent visual and instructional style across all video assets *Delivering final, ready-to-upload video files to incorporate into our courses/LMS What We’re Looking For *Proven experience editing educational or training videos *Strong proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve *Clear visual storytelling and pacing *Audio editing (e.g., leveling, noise removal) *Attention to detail and commitment to quality *Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Bonus points if you have: *Understanding of adult learning or instructional design principles *Interpreting experience or speak a second language. Deliverables We’ll provide: *Raw video footage (recorded video as well as Zoom recordings) *Branded assets (logo, fonts, colors) *Guidelines for editing, including as necessary scripts or outlines You’ll deliver: *Edited video files (MP4 or other agreed format) *Exported in the appropriate specs for our LMS *Editable project files (upon request) Timeline & Budget We’re aiming to start ASAP and would love to start a conversation with you.
