Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment, as required. Record, store and process scanned images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment. Provide personnal asistance to patients during treatments. Prepare examination reports for physicians. Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CRGS - Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer. CRCS - Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer. CRVS - Canadian Registered Vascular Sonographer. American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Certification. Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration. Certification by a provincial or territorial association.
