Working as a Travel Advisor with CAA Atlantic means you will play a key role in helping Members and clients bring their travel dreams to life! You will meet with clients to understand their preferences, budget, timelines, and expectations. By asking thoughtful, detailed questions, including accessibility considerations, travel style, and preferred suppliers-you will be able to provide personalized recommendations and deliver an exceptional client experience.
Drawing on your knowledge of destinations, accommodations, transportation options, and emerging travel trends, you will research and prepare accurate travel quotes and customized itineraries that align with client needs. Your expertise will help clients make informed decisions while feeling supported every step of the way!
Beyond booking travel, you will build strong, lasting relationships with clients through ongoing support before, during, and after their trips. This includes addressing questions, resolving travel disruptions, and following up post‑travel to encourage future engagement. You will maintain a client database, promote travel products through social media and events, and grow your personal book of business through referrals and community involvement.

Responsibilities
- Meet revenue and performance targets.
- Maintain and or obtain certifications (e.g., ACTA, CLIA, supplier programs, CTC).
- Meet with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, timelines, and expectations. Ask detailed questions to tailor recommendations (e.g., accessibility needs, travel style, preferred suppliers).
- Research destinations, accommodations, transportation options, and experiences that align with client needs.
- Stay up to date on travel trends, supplier offerings, and industry changes.
- Prepare accurate travel quotes and customizable itineraries.
- Present options clearly, highlighting differences in price, value, and inclusions.
- Book flights, hotels, tours, cruises, insurance, and transportation.
- Ensure accuracy of traveler details, loyalty numbers, special requests, and documentation requirements.
- Work directly with tour operators, cruise lines, airlines, and hotel partners.
- Resolve issues such as availability, rooming, upgrades, or special accommodations.
- Advise clients on passports, visas, vaccination requirements, and travel insurance.
- Ensure all bookings comply with industry regulations and agency policies.
- Address client questions pre‑departure, during travel, and post‑travel.
- Troubleshoot issues such as delays, cancellations, or disruptions.
- Develop lasting client relationships through personalized service.
- Maintain a client database, follow up after trips, and encourage future bookings.
- Promote travel products through social media, newsletters, and events.
- Grow a personal book of business through referrals and community engagement.
- Participate in webinars, FAM trips, and training to stay current on destinations and suppliers, some of which occurs outside regular business hours.
Qualifications
- Hold CTC / CTM certification. Not required but is considered a strong asset.
- If you do not hold either certification, willingness to earn is required.
- Prior experience in the service and hospitality industry, preferably in hotels or a business in the tourism sector.
- Communication is your thing; you are a keen listener and can deliver a message clearly and succinctly.
- Experience working with a revenue target not required but considered an asset
- Experience providing advisory and/or consultation services.
- Experience with relationship development.
- You embrace technology and are excited to learn new and travel specific programs.
- You possess a basic or advanced knowledge of travel through personal experiences.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,091.00-$61,637.00 per year
