• Insight is currently seeking a Transcriptionist to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full time, remote position, with a schedule of Sunday to Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Applicants must live in Alberta to be considered for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• * Provide overall medical transcription support to the department, accurately transcribing medical dictations.

• * Organize and prioritize assigned work and schedule time to accommodate work demands.  
• * Communicate with radiologists and departments.
• * Provide peer support.  
• * Communicate in a positive and cooperative manner.  
• * Handle difficult situations in a sensitive and proactive manner.

• * Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

• * Exceptional grammar, syntax, editing and punctuation skills.

• * General knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures, billing codes, and desktop applications (e.g. Word, Windows).  
• * Keyboarding proficiency, ability to type 75+ words per minute.
• * Ability to complete large volumes of work under deadlines.   
• * Commitment to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.

Qualifications

• * Grade 12 diploma required.   
• * Must reside in Alberta.
• * Successful completion of a recognized program in Medical Transcription required.   
• * 1 to 2 years' recent experience and knowledge of diagnostic imaging processes preferred.    
• * Reliable at-home internet connection.
