- About the Role
- Provides comprehensive services to students, faculty, staff and external client of the audio-visual and computing equipment and facilities. Provides help to users in person or over the phone for problems related to computer services, audio visual services, video conferencing and commonly used software. AT the Surrey campus. The work includes evenings and weekend shifts and the incumbent may be called upon on short notice to cover vacant shifts. Performs other duties and responsibilities consistent with the job description and classification on request.

- Qualifications
- High school graduation and general courses or training of moderate duration (one semester or equivalent) in computing and audio-visual technology. 6 months of related experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.
- Excellent knowledge of concepts and procedures for troubleshooting computers, software, Audio Visual, Equipment, mobile devices, networks and operating systems (Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android).
- Excellent understanding of audio visual, classroom and learning technologies.
- Good knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows 7 and 10, Mac Operating Systems).
- Ability to deploy complex third-party application packages.

- The assignment start/end dates are: September 2, 2025 to December 20, 2025.
- Priority will be given to qualified registered SFU students who must submit a Fall 2025 class schedule with their application. This is a part-time position working between 8:00am to 10:00pm for 4 to 35 hours biweekly. Days/hours of work varies. There are 4 to 10 positions available.
