• The Team Lead, Revenue Accounting is a position for accountants with experience in recurring revenue accounting who have managed a team in the past. This role will be a key part of Prophix’s experienced and growing global finance team.
• What You Will Do
• Provide subject matter expertise for the entire contract to invoice process across all Prophix entities.
• Directly manage 2 Intermediate Accountants.
• Manage your team through monthly invoicing deadlines of recuring revenue, professional service, and ad hoc invoicing.
• Prepare and post monthly recurring revenue journal entries.
• Own the reconciliation for a selection of general ledger accounts during month-end close.
• Be a key contributor to our company acquisition onboarding with respect to training and absorbing invoicing functions of acquired companies.
• Own the approval of requests from internal teams on non-standard customer invoicing and contracting requests.
• Partner with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) targets are met.
• Partner with the Sales team to ensure contracts are billed accurately and client expectations are met.
• Partner with the Customer team to ensure contract renewals are accurately invoiced.
• Partner with the Financial Reporting team to provide timely responses to financial reporting questions relating to customer invoicing and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting.
• Own revenue related audit deliverables for annual financial statement audits.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all processes within your function.
• Become a subject matter expert in our software and systems, including, but not limited to, Sage Intacct, Salesforce, ONESOURCE Pagero, and Prophix Software
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

• Required Qualifications
• A mix of experience, training, or education that helps you succeed in this role.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in an accounting/finance role
• 3+ years of direct people management.
• Prior experience with multi-product, multi-currency high volume SaaS invoicing.
• Post secondary education in accounting, finance or related field required.
• Strong technology skills, including advanced Excel skills and experience with cloud-based ERP systems.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proven track record of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Comfort using AI tools responsibly to support tasks such as research, drafting, or data review
• Ability to learn new tools and adapt as technology evolves
• Curiosity and openness to exploring new approaches
• Collaborative mindset when working with teams and technology
• Must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located
• Preferred Qualifications
• CPA designation.
• Experience invoicing and working with companies in Europe, Australia, South America, and/or Asia.
• Previous experience with Sage Intacct.
