Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex client inquiries (via portal, email, or phone) and technical challenges, providing swift and accurate resolution.
- Risk & Compliance: Critically review title searches and apply complex underwriting guidelines across multiple provinces to mitigate risk. Stay current with all lender and corporate policies, ensuring the team maintains absolute compliance.
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and coach team members, offering timely daily feedback, guidance, and support. Work with the Manager to implement effective training, cross-training, and development plans for new and existing staff.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate closely with the Manager to drive employee engagement and achieve key operational goals and service metrics.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of a Law Clerk or Legal Administration program or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 3–4 years of recent, hands-on mortgage-related experience, including the independent management of real estate files through to a secure close.
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of real estate law processes, title searches, and underwriting principles.
- Problem-Solver: Proven ability to untangle complex legal and financial details and problem-solve under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Leadership Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills with demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, or supervising staff.
- Technical Tools: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Integrity: Proven ability to manage highly confidential information and competing priorities with discretion.
