Purpose of the position


Reporting to the General Manager, and under the general direction of the Supervisor in which they support, the Clerk provides quality and timely delivery of services within the Infrastructure Division. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while seeking solutions to straightforward problems. The position works primarily with Environmental Services.


  • Performs County Center front-reception desk opening and closing procedures.
  • Assumes first point of contact with suppliers, vendors, partners, and the public.
  • Performs financial transaction processes with customers (i.e. cash/debit exchange, end of day reconciliation, reporting).
  • Drafts, seeks approval, proofreads, and sends letters, memos, data, reports, applications, documents, forms, agendas/minutes, and other correspondence on behalf of the department.
  • Inputs financial coding and seeks approval on all invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims before submitting to appropriate departments for processing.
  • Assists with courier and mail distribution functions.
  • Assists in budget preparation, inventory/financial tracking, and ordering supplies.
  • Creates, inputs, and organizes related department files into computer databases and/or physical locations.

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Come to us with a Certificate/Diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Possess strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
  • 1 - 2 years related work experience.
  • Hold excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communications skills.
  • Bring some knowledge of safety codes administration and the Safety Codes Act.
  • Come with proficient computer skills and the ability to learn new computer programs.
  • Be well-developed in problem solving and public relations skills.

Position details:


  • Term Full-Time (expected to end on or before May 10, 2027)
  • Hours: Based on a 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours during evenings or weekends may be required occasionaly for special events and emergency work.
  • Salary: $58,203.60 to $74,547.20 (58,$31.98 to $40.96 hourly)
