- Job Description
- As a member of the Strategic Solutions (SS) team, you will play a key role in positioning Torstar to compete effectively in the marketplace.
- This is a unionized position.
- Partnering with our sales team, you will create strategic sales solutions and new revenue opportunities for select clients. Partnering with our editorial teams, you will develop new client revenue opportunities.
- You will respond to proposal requests and develop proactive strategies and recommendations for clients with significant media budgets.
- General Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Sales Support, Data, Marketing, Promotions & Editorial teams to develop proposals that deliver on client KPIs and contribute towards achieving Torstar revenue target
- Attend client meetings (as necessary) with sales team members to better understand customer needs
- Lead brainstorms for creative solutions to client proposals and assigned vertical strategies
- Proactively develop new opportunities to gain new revenue streams
- Collaborate with Sales to ensure a smooth hand-off of sold campaigns to the Post-Sale team and maintain knowledge of campaign performance in order to assist with renewal conversations after the campaign has finished
- Remain up-to-date with all new Torstar product developments in commercial and editorial products
- Stay current with innovations in the media industry and share with relevant internal stakeholder
