- Role Synopsis: Work closely with Storyboard Supervisor and Director to accomplish the overall look and style on a 3D Animated series.
Job Duties
- Quickly and efficiently produce clean, appealing, well thought-out storyboard revisions and/or new sequences as requested by the Storyboard Supervisor or Director.
- Address all Director and Client revision notes as assigned.
- Anticipate, communicate, and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues when addressing clients revision notes.
- Communicate ideas effectively and produce solutions to visually interpret verbal, written or drawn revision notes.
- Help with troubleshooting and finding solutions to storytelling problems.
- At times be required to generate new thumbnails and tighten rough storyboard sequences based on provided notes and guidance from Director and Supervisor.
- Use existing templates and follow established formatting guidelines and naming conventions.
- Receive constructive feedback in a professional and positive manner.
- Ensure all deadlines are met and communicate any foreseeable issues doing so.
- Communicate progress of work to the Storyboard Supervisor and appropriate member of the Production Team.
- Ensure all artwork is properly backed up, saved appropriately and materials are prepared and ready on time.
- Maintain accountability for work produced and enthusiastically take on any other tasks as assigned by Storyboard Supervisor or Director.
- And such other duties that Kickstart may assign from time to time.
- 2+ years experience as a Storyboard Revision Artist for a 2D or 3D animated series using Storyboard Pro
- Outstanding drawing skills and sense of appeal, design, character and composition
- Strong understanding of storytelling principles and techniques
- Strong posing, acting, and dramatic and comedic timing skills
- Ability to receive constructive feedback in a professional and positive manner
- Creative problem solving skills
