Title: Part-time Web App Maintainer (Next.js/Postgres/Vercel) — $75/mo Retainer Description: We are seeking a reliable developer to take over light maintenance of a social web application for legal professionals in Canada. The platform is built with Next.js, Postgres (AWS RDS), and deployed on Vercel, with integrations to PayPal and AWS S3/CloudFront for events and media. This is a very low-maintenance role, averaging less than 1 hour of work per month. Most months will have no issues at all; the retainer is for availability, quick checks, and the occasional small fix. Additional feature work or bigger fixes can be billed separately at your hourly rate. Your responsibilities (retainer scope): • Apply minor content edits and config tweaks when needed • Ensure PayPal registrations and renewals link correctly • Sanity-check cron jobs for renewal emails (GitHub Actions) • Keep dependencies healthy (occasional updates) • Answer lightweight support requests within 48–72 hours Stack: • Next.js / React • Postgres (AWS RDS) • Vercel (deployment) • AWS S3/CloudFront (media hosting) • PayPal integration • GitHub Actions (cron renewals) Compensation: • Fixed $75/month retainer (covers up to 1 hr/month of light work) • This retainer covers routine maintenance (less than 1 hr/month). In the rare event that a bigger task comes up requiring more than 1–2 hours, we can agree on a fair arrangement for that work.
