Overview of the Role: Oversees daily customer deliveries and goods movement, leads distribution team supervisors/coordinators, and ensures adherence to safety and quality standards. Performance metrics are an asset Working knowledge pertaining to Transport, Direct Store Delivery, Long Haul Operations and Route Distributor Owner operations Proven team leader with strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, adept at presenting insights and financial data clearly and solving complex problems Proficient in MS-Word, Excel and Power point Ability to adapt to changing business requirement and priorities; as with ability to work in a cross-functional team environment How you will make contributions that matter... Using positive coaching and communication skills, manage the performance of the Distribution Team direct reports, as with all key stakeholders to meet Departmental objectives Build and foster positive relationships with Long Haul Operators and Route Distributor Operators (RDO) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize distribution for lower costs and better service Continuous reporting to the Departmental Leadership team on the attainment of business plans, metrics, and budget Promote best practice initiatives and projects to optimize the supply chain network, with an emphasis on improving efficiency and reducing operating costs Apply working knowledge of distribution related technology and software, to drive and implement best practice Ensuring Health & Safety, Food Safety is a key focus, while promoting Saputo’s Culture and values Available to travel to any of Saputo’s Ontario locations and work all shifts as required Perform other duties as required This year, Saputo is celebrating 70 years of passion and craftsmanship!
