We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer - Front End with 10+ years of hands-on development experience in n-tier Enterprise applications using Java Enterprise technologies. This role requires expertise in both modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, JQuery) and deep back-end proficiency (Java EE, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, SQL/Databases). The successful candidate will be responsible for translating technical specifications into robust, tested applications, focusing on the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Expertise in application design, design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting is essential. This is a fully Onsite position based in Toronto.

Responsibilities
The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for translating business requirements and technical system specifications into working, tested applications. Key duties include:
- Development & Coding: Writing and/or generating Java EE code and compiling data-driven programs.
- Design & Specifications: Developing detailed programming specifications based on requirements, applying expertise in application design and latest design patterns.
- Testing & Quality: Conducting unit tests for all code and ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Resolving and troubleshooting technical problems that arise during operation, including providing technical assistance during implementation, conversion, and migrations.
- SDLC Participation: Collaborating with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, including design, code, test, debug, and documentation of applications.
- Front-End Development: Utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and JQuery for front-end development.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- 10+ years’ experience in developing n-tier Enterprise applications.
- 10+ years’ hands-on development with Java Enterprise technologies.
- Expertise in application design, latest design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Extensive hands-on development & troubleshooting experience on Java EE platform.
- Expertise in JPA or Hibernate, and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, MVC, Data, etc.).
- Proficient working with Databases and SQL (expertise with Azure Cosmos DB, Postgres, Oracle, and PL/SQL highly desirable).
- Proficient in Eclipse IDE or Rational Application Developer.
- Proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and JQuery.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Assets):
- Agile development experience (Scrum, User Stories, CI, TDD, Automated Tests).
- Experience writing Web Services and implementing SOA.
- Familiarity with BPM tools such as Camunda BPM or Drools Rule Engine.
- Experience with fine-grained security frameworks (e.g., Spring Security).
- Demonstrated experience working with Azure Cloud services (Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Cognitive Search).
