Our client is seeking a fully remote Senior Quality Assurance Analyst with more than six years of proven team lead experience to support major health sector initiatives within a highly collaborative, fast paced environment. In this role, you will guide a small QA team, drive best practices, and oversee the full spectrum of quality activities including functional, performance, regression, integration, connectivity, and automation testing. You will work closely with project teams, business owners, and technical stakeholders to analyze requirements, build and maintain test repositories, lead User Acceptance Testing, produce testing and defect reports, and ensure all solutions adhere to government IT policies, security standards, and quality frameworks. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of hands on testing experience, advanced skills in SQL, performance testing tools such as JMeter, automation tools like SOAPUI, and strong familiarity with methodologies such as Waterfall, Water Scrum, and Agile. Experience supporting provincial healthcare applications or Electronic Health Records in a Canadian context is a strong asset. Responsibilities
•Provide leadership and guidance to a small team of QA Analysts.
•Review project requirements, perform gap analyses, and ensure all testing aligns with defined scope and standards.
•Build, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases, including performance testing initiatives.
•Support User Acceptance Testing and work closely with business users and project stakeholders.
•Ensure compliance with government IT policies, security standards, and QA best practices.
•Develop testing documentation, defect reports, user guides, and other required project materials.
•Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and technical resources throughout design, development, and release cycles.
•Stay informed on project direction, attend status meetings, and participate in quality review sessions.
•Assist in onboarding and knowledge transfer for new QA resources.
Qualifications
•A university degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or an equivalent mix of education and experience).
•At least 10 years of hands on testing experience, including functional, regression, integration, performance, connectivity, and automation testing.
•At least 10 years of experience in quality assurance practices and methodologies.
•A minimum of 6 years in a QA Team Lead role.
•Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Strong knowledge of security, data confidentiality, and privacy within application and database environments.
•Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter and automation tools such as SOAPUI.
•Advanced SQL skills and experience working within structured QA environments.
•Familiarity with QA frameworks and methodologies including Waterfall, Water Scrum, and Agile.
•Extensive experience supporting User Acceptance Testing, including test case execution, defect reporting, and resolution tracking.
•Experience with tools such as HP Quality Center and HP WebInspect (or equivalents).
•Experience working with multiple vendors across a single project.
•Experience with provincial healthcare or Electronic Health Records applications in a Canadian context (an asset).
