Job Description: Department Overview The P&T Delivery Practice was established to lead Project Management professionals as they work with delivery teams on projects and programs that the build the capabilities, systems and processes required for best-in-class operations and other enabling capabilities across the TD Enterprise. Job Overview The Senior Program Manager will plan, manage, and deliver distinct programs with a high level of risk exposure through all specific phases in alignment with business and/or enterprise strategies. Your Accountabilities Include: Indirectly manage program team consisting of Business Analysts, Business SMEs and technology resources under the PDLC or Agile or hybrid project & resource management frameworks. Engage Executive Sponsor, senior leadership, and other key stakeholder groups to ensure effective, efficient and compliant delivery of programs. Engage appropriate stakeholders to identify and manage required outcomes of programs for the business Establish effective program oversight and other governance structures and protocols, and engage the correct levels to support the direction for the program(s) Provide on-going communication to key stakeholders, including the Program Sponsor, Business Program Owner and Portfolio Manager to ensure they are aware of significant changes to the program status(es) in a timely manner Respond to inquiries and escalate concerns from stakeholders at all levels in the organization (technical, business, Senior and Executive Management) Provide advice and guidance to business partners and program team(s) as required regarding best practices in program management Collaborate with appropriate partners to ensure required resources are assigned to the program for successful delivery Deliver and own program outcomes that are aligned to established cost, timing, deliverable and scope objectives Generate cost estimates and provides program financial management, incorporating risk, by leveraging appropriate tools and templates Proactively identify and track program risk and develop mitigation plans to manage risk Accurately forecast and manage assigned budget to provide monthly financial reporting for programs in alignment with Finance standards Support vendor management and strategic sourcing process, managing RFP activities and partnering with vendor(s) to ensure efficient and effective program delivery Apply TDBG principles of program management life cycle methodologies & governance, tools and best practices, ensuring that appropriate documentation, change and risk management practices are in place TEAM Leadership: Provides coaching to delivery professionals and other key stakeholders Provides advice and counsel to project teams, program resources and business partners Fosters an environment of continuous learning, including the sharing of experience and learning across team members and partners as appropriate Job Requirements 7 plus years progressive project/program-related experience Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of program management whether PDLC or Agile methodology Experience with financial management with respect to tracking, forecasting and managing program budgets Team player with ability to lead and influence to achieve results through effective negotiation and problem solving Knowledge of key applications: Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Office 365, Excellent written and verbal communication skills Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities Advantageous additional experience Experience with AML, Cyber Security, identity access/management, fraud management Regulatory scope delivery Work experience at a large Canadian financial institution Knowledge of Clarity PPM for program delivery Education / Accreditation: University degree or comparable professional education/training PMP certification or equivalent preferred Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification Who We Are: TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
