Summary We’re seeking a Senior PHP Backend Developer with 5+ years of experience in PHP and Laravel, a testing mindset (utilizing PHPUnit), and expertise in CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, to help us transform our large Laravel monolith into a scalable and reliable architecture. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers on performance, data, and integrations that power revenue-critical workflows. Tech Stack Backend: Laravel, GoLang, PHPUnit Frontend: Angular Databases & Queues: MySQL (clustered), Redis, RabbitMQ/Kafka (nice to have) Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git What You’ll Do Refactor & scale a large PHP/Laravel codebase from monolith to microservices Participate in database improvements for throughput and reliability Write maintainable, well-tested code (PHPUnit) and review peers’ changes Profile/optimize critical paths and improve observability Leverage AI-powered coding & testing tools to increase productivity and code quality Integrate 3rd party services to create a world-class enterprise product Reporting Structure You’ll report to the Project Manager, Scrum Master, and CTO. Current team includes 6 Developers, a Team Lead, and DevOps.
