Job Description As Senior Manager, Resiliency and Risk and part of the AC product & Platforms (ACP&P) team you will be responsible for creating ways of working and routines among the business, IT and Operational partners to ensure the resiliency and risk posture of the team. In this role, Senior Manager, Resiliency and Risk will be responsible for evolving the way in which our products are monitored and driving deep insights into their health and channel utilization. As outputs of this work the team will be able to understand the root causes of downtime within the portfolio, how the channels are being used or misused and how the team can improve their products to meet these issues. They will build on this reporting to drive development and improvements within our systems to help limit fraudulent actors, improve client experience and drive efficiency and quality in our advisor’s activities. As part of the risk portion of the job you will drive the closure of open risk items by agreed upon completion dates across the portfolio and work with the team to ensure all the various products have their risk documents up to date and in good order, this at times will require working with our IT partners on shared ownership systems. You will evolve the risk practice ensuring that the team is always at the forefront of Enterprise reporting needs. You will report to the Director, AC Advisor Enablement & Efficiency within the AC P&P team group which is part of the Digital Channels group. Please Note: From time to time, there may be a need to support overnight technical implementations during deployment windows and support ad hoc product outages and issues. The successful applicant will need to work primarily from Waterpark Place but will spend one day a week in Meadowvale. What will you do? In partnership with IT (ACBT), vendors, fraud and risk partners create new routines and drive an evolution in the team’s monitoring processes to analyze and monitor channel performance; identifying trends and assist Product Owners in developing actionable recommendations. You will deliver key insights on channel usage and risks and to uncover trends in the ways in which our customers are using the products and how to improve safety, security and drive additional business insights. Partner with the SRE team to evolve beyond Root Cause Analysis and uptime to a wholistic view of changes required in the portfolio to achieve business goals and reduce risk in the portfolio. Lead the risk practice of the team mapping out the road to closure and driving solutions to Archer risks such as Model X Risk, Open business risks and jointly owned IT findings Become a thought leader on how our system and operational architectures are impacting the ability of the business to execute against goals Research and remain current on multiple technology platforms and Industry trends specifically related to fraud and resiliency reporting Analyze and monitor channel performance to identify trends and assist Product Owners in developing actionable recommendations This person generates problems for our team (good problems to solve) Work with business and ACBT (and other IT) partners to assess critical ACP&P business processes and systems from an end-to-end viewpoint to identify resiliency risks and to create/update all risk documents and ensure closure of open risks. What do you need to succeed? 5-7 years of similar experience Proven experience in Risk or Product Management Strong Project Management skills Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills Strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel and Word Strong written and oral communication skills, Interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization Nice to Have Call centre experience – specifically in WFM or leadership roles RBC Digital Product Management experience Have a second language: French, Cantonese or Mandarin What’s in it for you?
