Job Description: ** The pay details posted reflect a temporary market premium specific to this role that is reassessed annually. ** R_1416644 Senior Manager Model Development Oracle CRR CA Department Description The TD Global Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) department is accountable for establishing TD's Global Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF), Economic Sanctions and Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption (ABAC) (collectively, Financial Crime Risk Management) program to ensure that all TD businesses adhere with AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC regulatory expectations in all jurisdictions where TD operates. This includes setting consistent standards across business segments that may be further tailored to specific business or jurisdictional requirements; conducting periodic enterprise-wide AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC risk assessments; maintaining the Global AML Policy (including Know Your Customer and Enhanced Due Diligence, record keeping & retention requirements); currency transaction and suspicious transaction monitoring and reporting; screening TD customers against regulatory watch lists; a hierarchy of designated AML officer functions; enterprise-wide and specialized AML training of employees; and independent AML testing. Job Description Reporting to the Associate Vice President, FCRM, Model Management, Customer Risk Rating, Canada and EAP, the Senior Manager will be responsible for leading a specialized team of data professionals varying in size and complexity that are responsible for aiding to drive changes and improvement in business practices through data science. Manage the overall data scientist team or function for a key business which may include Modelers and/or Data Scientist roles. May also oversee the development of data models, data mining and analytic solutions. Job Description Lead team of Data Scientists and provide day-to-day direction as needed. Act as People Manager and is responsible for ongoing coaching and development, setting objectives, assessing performance. Work closely with business owners to identify opportunities and serve as an ambassador for data science. Lead and oversee the design and delivery of enterprise analytic solutions for customers. Work in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment with Big Data developers, and analytical experts Provide analytical thought leadership and stay current on developments in data mining and the application of data science. Manage workload of data science team; assigning data request to staff based on skills and development needs. Support execution with excellence on key initiatives/programs Design effective test and learn for various programs or scenarios. Develop business specific plans; ensure work and resources are aligned to support objectives. Collaborate with FCRM Model Management teams as well as Enterprise Technology as needed to continuously discuss enhancements of Customer Risk Rating model. Interfaces with model risk management, internal audit, and other non-FCRM functions to ensure alignment of the Customer Risk Rating model management practices to TD's enterprise standards. Job Requirements / Qualifications: Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of relevant FCRM and risk modeling experience. Extensive knowledge of FCRM regulations, risks, and appropriate controls. Hands-on data science expertise including, but not limited to, machine learning, statistics, and data visualization. Experience with/knowledge of methods, techniques and tools to support model coverage and control. Exposure to common Transaction Monitoring systems (Actimize, SAS, Oracle, etc.). Proven research and analytical skills. Experience in developing documentation that meets the highest regulatory standards and audit requirements.
