  • Job Role
  • Responsibility for delivery of valuation engagements
  • · Project management
  • o Assume day-to-day responsibility for valuation assignments across multiple infrastructure sectors. Manage significant projects with director’s supervision
  • o Lead on the research, benchmarking and analytical work informing our valuation opinions
  • o Ensure that reports are of a high standard and delivered to deadlines
  • · Client/ BD
  • o Manage client on-boarding, and key clients.
  • o Contribute to the proposals, business development activity (incl. identifying new targets and contacts), and build key client relationships in the sector or geographic area allocated.
  • · Learning & development
  • o Develop and sustain own competencies needed to perform the above role, including building up sector expertise. Stay updated with the latest sector developments.
  • · Team development
  • o Develop junior members of team, through effective management in assignments, and mentoring in developing specific skills and capabilities + delivering training if required.
  • · Financial management, helping to ensure that valuation team budgets are met, and assisting with team admin including provisioning and billing.
  • · Develop close working relationship with other teams. Identify and monitor strategy for winning joint engagements.
  • Person Specification

The successful candidates should possess

  • 1. Valuation experience
  • a. Broad and deep valuation experience required, at least 3-5 years (at Consultant/ Assistant Manager level).
  • i. Understanding of the value drivers in debt and equity valuations.
  • ii. Experience of valuations across multiple geographies is desirable.
  • iii. Experience of applying different valuation methodologies.
  • b. Strong analytical capability and, some experience of infrastructure sector and energy sector work will be helpful.
  • i. Ability to analyse third-party due diligence reports (in the context of infrastructure).
  • ii. Ability to interpret project finance models and run scenarios/ sensitivity analysis.
  • c. Writing clear, accurate, and logically structured reports in English and ability to lead valuation engagements with minimal supervision.
  • d. High level of proficiency with excel. Interest in adapting to new technologies such as using Power BI, AI tools etc.
  • 2. Client experience
  • a. Experience of managing client relationships and working with large corporations and funds
  • b. Working effectively with clients to win repeat business or new engagements
  • c. Experience of providing valuations for listed companies / funds
  • d. Understanding of engagement and client take-on processes
  • 3. Other desirable skills / qualifications
  • a. CA, CFA, MBA or equivalent qualification from premier institute
  • b. Experience of working with a top-tier Valuations practice/ Investment Bank / Fund Manager
  • c. Understanding of how to use Bloomberg, Capital IQ and other software/ tools relevant to valuation
  • d. Experience of coaching the teams and running project teams
  • e. High level of initiative and pro-activity in all aspects of your career
