As a Senior Experience Designer within RAC CoLAB, you will be supporting the delivery of world-class end-to-end member experiences and services, this role takes a strategic approach to the entire design process, from user research through to concept development and prototyping. In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of designers and experts to discover, design, and deliver innovative services and experiences, ensuring alignment with business objectives and member needs The RAC CoLAB team supports the RAC purpose, vision and mission by driving progress through the design, development and implementation of new solutions with members, our people and the broader WA community. It’s an engine for member-centred design and innovation supporting delivery of great member experiences while inspiring positive change for the better. This is a 12 month max term position. What will you be doing? Leading design projects: Oversee end-to-end design initiatives, from research to prototyping and implementation, ensuring outcomes align with business and member needs. Developing service and experience design strategies: Create high-level concepts and refine methodologies to enhance service and experience design across projects. Conducting research: Lead human-centered design research to gather insights, identify pain points, and inform design decisions. Prototyping and iterate: Design and refine prototypes, ensuring accessibility, usability, and seamless experiences across various platforms. Ensuring exceptional member experiences: Apply advanced visual, interaction, and information design principles to create intuitive, engaging experiences for diverse audiences. Advocating for design impact: Communicate the value of design through stories, artifacts, and reports, showcasing design outcomes to stakeholders. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, and others to deliver effective design solutions within timelines. Facilitating workshops and critiques: Lead brainstorming sessions and design reviews, guiding teams toward effective solutions through collaborative thinking. Supporting team growth: Provide feedback and guidance to junior designers, fostering a learning culture within the team. Engaging with stakeholders: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring design solutions align with business objectives. Promoting design thinking: Advocate for design-centered processes, influencing decision-making and integrating design into broader strategies. Supporting implementation: Assist in testing, iterating, and refining design solutions, ensuring smooth implementation and scalability across teams. What are we looking for in you? Significant experience in experience/service design, leading design projects within a commercial or enterprise environment. Strong experience in designing for complex ecosystems, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in various design disciplines, including service design, UX, business design, and interaction design. Proven ability to conduct user research and translate insights into actionable design solutions. Hands-on experience with Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Sprints, and Agile methodologies. Experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with diverse stakeholders, including developers, business leaders, and vendors. Degree or tertiary education in experience design or related fields. Additional Preferred Experience: Scrum or Agile certifications. What can we offer you?
