Preferred Location: Canada / USA (Remote) We are looking for an experienced Elasticsearch professional to review, optimize, and enhance our overall Elastic Stack deployment. The consultant will help us ensure that our cluster follows industry best practices, performs reliably under load, and scales efficiently as our data grows. Key Responsibilities: Cluster Architecture Review & Optimization: Evaluate the current Elastic cluster design and provide recommendations to improve performance, resilience, and scalability. Efficient Data Ingestion & Indexing Strategy: Ensure smooth and consistent data ingestion from multiple data sources into their dedicated indices. Provide expert guidance on designing index templates, mappings, and ingestion strategies that reduce storage usage and improve query performance. ILM Strategy & Multi-Tier Data Management: Create or refine Index Lifecycle Management policies to ensure seamless data transition between hot, warm, cold, and frozen tiers while maintaining performance and cost efficiency. Storage Optimization & Retrieval Efficiency: Advise on data modeling and indexing practices that minimize storage footprint while enabling fast and efficient data retrieval. Monitoring & Proactive Health Management: Set up and optimize cluster-wide monitoring dashboards and alerts to support proactive issue detection and long-term cluster stability. Best Practice Implementation: Provide recommendations on shard sizing, node roles, resource allocation, and overall performance tuning based on Elasticsearch best practices.
