Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC Investor Services is embarking on an exciting journey with the goal of becoming the undisputed leader in Canada offering our clients exceptional experiences with market leading products and services. The strategy will be enabled by our technology and architecture modernization marked by architecture simplification, AI & automation journey and efficient operating model. In this role, you will lead the architecture evolution journey across the technology portfolio for RBC Investor Services. High level and more detailed capability assessment and create roadmaps will inform the target state of the portfolio including technical and data architecture, design, development, quality engineering and SRE activities. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, project delivery teams and act in alignment with RBC Technology & Operation’s strategy. Architecture evolution will ensure we deliver optimized technology solutions that are competitive in the market and efficient to operate What will you do? This is a transformative technical delivery role with the following primary responsibilities: Provide technology expertise and leadership in formulating the strategic plan for RBC Investor Services architecture journey and associated delivery. Lead the capability assessment and architect roadmap definition for the multi-phased delivery. Drive best-in-class technical solutions by tracking closely industry leading solutions and applying to RBC architecture and security standards. Institute framework and process to ensure production readiness during software development projects. Partner effectively with the business teams and act as key point of relationship for the architecture journey. Partner with other teams, as required, to expand the rollout of strategic future architecture and applications. Align solutions to RBC’s Technology & Operations strategy and standards and platforms. Act as primary application and platform supplier relationship manager, as applicable to the architecture evolution. As the program progresses, evolve the strategy and plans to ensure continuous path to steady state. What do you need to succeed? Must-have 10+ years’ experience in complex technical program delivery, preferably in asset management or financial services domain Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and practices, with expertise in application development using a variety of linear, non-linear and multi-modal models. Strong stakeholder management including business counterparts as well as cross-functional technical teams Ability to manage technical delivery from third parties Ability to drive and facilitate transformation in a large and complex global organization Experience with a variety of technology and data platforms Nice-to-have Well versed in AI technology What’s in it for you?
