- Using Power Query to extract, profile, clean, and load data from various sources (including on-premise) and choosing appropriate storage modes and connectivity types.

- Designing intuitive, high-performing, and simple-to-maintain data models. Using M and DAX language to create measures and ensure high performance of data retrieval tasks.

- Creating advanced Power BI report designs and report formatting, including report navigation. Examining, sorting, and presenting data in a cohesive manner and applying advanced analytics for deeper insights.

- Deploying Power BI artifacts to workspaces, configuring automatic refresh for datasets, and enabling Row-level security.

- Understanding and capturing complex and sometimes competing business requirements from stakeholders. Liaising with technical experts and non-technical colleagues to ensure project deliverables are met.

- Developing reports all the way into production, working with the project team to complete all required documentation, and ensuring adherence to IT processes and standards.

- Supporting the testing team during system and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Microsoft Power BI developer, building Business Intelligence reports and dashboards.

- Demonstrated experience with M, DAX, and Power Query for data modeling and calculations.

- Proven, demonstrable experience in data modeling and data visualization for Power BI, working with different data schemas and BI implementation methodologies.

- Mandatory skills covering the full Power BI lifecycle:

- Using Power Query to extract data from different data sources.

- Profiling, cleaning, and loading data into Power BI.

- Designing intuitive, high-performing, and simple-to-maintain data models.

- Creating Power BI report designs, formatting, and navigation.

- Examining, sorting, and presenting data in a cohesive manner.

- Connecting Power BI reports to on-premise data sources.

- Experience in understanding, capturing, and analyzing complex and sometimes competing business requirements to develop BI products.

Desired Skills (Assets):
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and the Power Platform.

- Proven experience with SQL Server and other database technologies.

- Demonstrated experience with performance tuning in Power BI (measures, relationships, visuals).

- Experience in bringing clarity to complex business challenges through effective communication and visualization techniques.
