About

Choosing a VOIP phone software (with phone number) for my small business. My priority is the sound quality experience for the customers who call us. I regularly do telegram voice calls with employees and the quality is fantastic. Is this kind of quality possible with a VOIP phone software with a phone number? The customers will be using landlines and mobile phones to call us. I have basic needs and am seeking something affordable. Only one receptionist will be working at a time. There won't be any extensions. It just rings and we answer. Basic functionality. My priority (and the part I'm having trouble researching myself) is the differences in acoustics and sound quality between the various software options (if there are any notable differences). And to a lesser degree I'm perhaps seeking some guidance about what I can do on my end (headsets, setting up router etc). other considerations.. -I have one receptionist working from japan and one from jamaica. In fact, for my canadian receptionists we just forward the main phone to their cell phone. So, I'm mostly trying to find a solution for when my overseas receptionists are on shift. (we will forward the main company number to this new VOIP number when they work). Who knows, if VOIP can have better sound quality than mobile / cell phones, maybe we can all use it. -I want MINIMAL latency. This is almost more important than sound quality. This is non negotiable. We take quick calls for short conversations, with very fast back and forth questions and replies, to place an order, and often many times per day for the same client. There just can't be a noticeable difference from our current traditional phone system.
