Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sewing and garment alteration, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where attention to detail and precision are highly valued. The Seamstress will be responsible for creating, repairing, and customizing garments to meet customer specifications and company standards. We are also manufacturing product in our studio and need someone to fit into the group.

Duties

• Measure, cut, and sew fabric according to pattern specifications or customer requests
• Alter and repair clothing items with precision and care
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring all work meets company standards
• Operate sewing machines and serger and vacuum irons.
• Collaborate with team members to complete orders within designated timeframes
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Assist in inventory management of fabrics, threads, and sewing supplies

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Seamstress or in a similar sewing or tailoring role within Canada.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to garment production is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read patterns, measurements, and technical drawings accurately
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Fluent English written and spoken.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 28 per week
