 We’re building a frictionless way to sell any digital file via a single link — no storefronts, no extra steps, just instant payment and access. The product is lean. Core Responsibilities * Ship features end-to-end: from database schema to API to polished UI * Make architecture decisions (schema design, caching/CDN strategy, queues, background jobs) * Design for scalability and cost efficiency: burst traffic handling, S3 lifecycle rules, query optimization * Implement secure gated download experiences and double-gated payment links * Continuously monitor and improve core product metrics (uploads, payments, latency, uptime) * Write clear ADR-style docs for significant infra or feature decisions Core Requirements * TypeScript expert — fast, clean, no ramp-up * Next.js (App Router), tRPC, Prisma, Postgres * Deep experience with file uploading, handling, and optimization (chunked/resumable uploads, signed URLs, CDN caching best practices) * Strong understanding of Stripe Connect (Custom/Express): payouts, platform risk, webhooks, and chargebacks * Comfortable designing systems for scale, reliability, and performance * Obsessed with clean, modular, maintainable codebases * Self-directed: reads docs, solves problems, gets features live Metrics Ownership You will own and continuously improve: * Upload success rate (99.9% target) * Payment success rate (minimizing drop-offs and failed charges) * Latency (less than 200ms P95 page loads, fast file delivery) * Uptime & error rate (99.9%+ availability for core flows) * Resolution time for errors (instrumented with Sentry/observability tooling) Security Expectations * Deep awareness of OWASP Top 10 risks and mitigation * Link tamper-proofing (signed URLs, short expiry, replay protection) * Fraud, abuse, and spam prevention at both app and payment levels * Input validation, rate limiting, and suspicious behavior monitoring * Responsible handling of sensitive data (KYC, payment info, PII) Instrumentation & Feedback Loops * Build with metrics-first thinking: dashboards for uploads, conversions, and errors * Implement hooks for A/B testing and experimentation * Iterate based on real data — not just gut feel — to improve conversion and reliability Developer Experience & Code Quality * Keep CI times under 5 minutes, maintain fast local dev environments * Advocate for clean, modular, future-proof code * Participate in and enforce high-quality code review practices Bonus Points * Performance tuning, observability, and CI/CD experience * Edge functions / CDN caching knowledge * Prior experience shipping minimal, utility-style SaaS products How to Apply * Proposal must be one paragraph * State your availability and expected weekly hourly output Thanks
