Position description: Research assistant for the McGill Working Group on Antisemitism. The candidate will attend research group meetings, assist the co-chairs with various organizational and research tasks, and conduct independent research on McGill’s existing policies, procedures, and practices related to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), human rights, and anti-discrimination. The candidate will also help with drafting the report to the University Senate that sets out findings, analyses, and recommendations for enhancing the University's policies, practices, and educational efforts to prevent and respond to antisemitism. Toward this goal, the candidate will research similar reports by other universities and assess their relevance to the drafting of the McGill Working Group's report and to the recommendation of best practices. Qualifications: A PhD in the Social Sciences or the Humanities. Strong research and writing skills, demonstrated in the publication of multiple peer reviewed journal articles. Deep familiarity with the issue of antisemitism and a proven record of previous research on this issue.
