- Project
- The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.

- Position
- The Regulatory Team Project Coordinator assists the Project regulatory and compliance program while contributing towards the Project's corporate social responsibility commitments. The successful candidate will support data collection, project coordination, and project reporting as part of the successful implementation of the Woodfibre LNG Regulatory Program. The role reports to the Senior Manager Regulatory Engagement and will play an essential part in supporting the company throughout the lifecycle of the Project.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will
- Supports tracking of regulatory submissions, including applications, reports, and information request responses
- Performs general administrative and recordkeeping functions for the regulatory team including.
- - Planning and coordinating meetings.
- - Preparation and distribution of meeting materials, including presentations.
- - Preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes.
- - Tracking of actions and issues that have emerged from the meetings.
- Supports the acquisition of regulatory and compliance data and compilation of data for various regulatory and compliance reports consistent with applicable requirements.
- Works with internal team and external consultants to support data collection for the compliance system and the regulatory management system.
- Updates internal management tools including regulatory schedule, permit trackers, action and issue logs and other tools using Smartsheet or equivalent software.
- Provides drafting support, as requested for the development of materials, such as Regulatory reports and letters.
- Works collaboratively with the document control team to coordinate the request for information (RFI) process, ensuring RFIs are distributed to affected parties.
- Assists the company’s activities towards its sustainability goals.
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to influence overall safety behavior and a culture of environmental compliance; demonstrates 100% compliance with company HSSE policies and guidelines.
- Interfaces with project and corporate resources including the EPFC contractor in the acquisition of compliance and reporting data.
- Assists with administration of the compliance management toll IsoMetrix.
Required Experience
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field (environmental biology, ecology, engineering, resource management, or related environmental discipline) and up to 3 years’ experience.
- Experience compiling, synthesizing data, and presenting information accurately in a coherent and compelling format.
- Experience with the development of presentations in PowerPoint
- Expertise with a variety of computer programs (e.g., MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel)

- Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors.
- Proven ability to work with a culturally diverse group of people including Indigenous Groups with a cooperative team-orientated approach.
- Communication/interpersonal skills – to be able to interact with front line workers through to management and all hierarchical levels.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities within tight time frames.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks.

- A valid driver’s license and passport.
- The position is based in Vancouver, BC with the potential to be required to go to sites or events in Squamish.
