Position Title: Red Seal Machinist
Location: Maple Ridge, BC
Permanent Position
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shifts: 8:00AM–4:15PM
Wage: $35.00 to $40.00/ Hr.
You have Steel Toe Boots
Red Seal Machinist certification is required
Previous machining experience in a fast-paced, shop setting is required
You are legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia

Responsibilities
Machine components using Manual and CNC Lathes, Mills, and support equipment
Read and interpret dimensional requirements from blueprints and technical drawings
Prepare setups, tools, and inserts; indicate and zero parts as needed
Select appropriate feeds and speeds for machining tasks
Perform part changeovers as required
Measure and inspect completed parts using precision measuring tools
Ensure parts meet specified tolerances and record results on inspection sheets
Report any issues or deviations to the Team Leader or Supervisor immediately
Maintain and clean equipment regularly and adhere to 5S shop organization standards
Accurately record time and job details in QAD (ERP system)
Qualifications
Interprovincial Red Seal Certification – Machinist (required)
High School Diploma (required)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a fast-paced machine shop environment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints
Proficient in operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously
Capable of programming, setting up, and running CNC machines
Familiarity with Mastercam software is an asset
Ability to work independently on advanced tasks with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills to minimize equipment downtime
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Comfortable working in a manufacturing/fabrication shop environment
Operation of overhead gantry and jib cranes
Able to work planned and occasional incidental overtime
Standing, bending, and physical activity required throughout shift
Employee Core Competencies
Safe operation of Overhead Gantry and Jib Cranes (training provided)
Strong work ethic and a “Whatever it takes” attitude
Ability to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment
Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Effective time management and multitasking abilities
