• Site: Toronto Western Hospital
• Department: Allied Health supporting General Internal Medicine and ALC, population may vary on operational needs
• Work Model: On-Site
• Reports to: Manager, Allied Health
• Hours: M-F 37.5 hours per week 12-8pm, weekends possible based on operational need
• Shifts: Days
• Status: Temporary Full Time 18 month contract
• Closing Date: October 14, 2025

• Duties
• Performing comprehensive assessments of patients and plan individual and group interventions
• Collaborating in an inter-professional environment in providing patient focused care
• Contributing to program planning and development
• Planning, implementing and evaluating Recreation Therapy interventions
• Complying with, and commitment to, patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients
• Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure studies with a major/emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation or Bachelor’s degree in a related fi eld (Kinesiology, Physical Education, Psychology or Health Studies).
• Post-diploma in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Membership in either a Provincial, National, State or International Therapeutic Recreation Professional Association.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support – Level C, Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the practice of Therapeutic Recreation.
• Expertise in planning, implementation and evaluation of Therapeutic Recreation interventions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Sound judgment and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
