We are looking for an expert React Native developer to build the MVP for Badge Bound, a Canadian police applicant preparation app that will support RCMP, OPP, and municipal applicants with tools like an agency selector, application checklist and reminders, run tracker and leaderboard, interview prep toolkit, comparison wizard, integrated AI assistant (OpenAI API), and Stripe-powered subscriptions. The developer will be responsible for building a cross-platform app in React Native, setting up a backend in Firebase or Supabase, integrating Stripe for secure recurring payments, enabling push notifications, and deploying the app to both iOS and Android app stores. Critical skills include React Native, Firebase/Supabase, Stripe, API integration, app deployment, Git/version control, and a strong focus on security and scalability, while nice-to-haves include UI/UX polish, gamification features, and prior experience with education, fitness, or productivity apps. This is a fixed-price contract (~$4,000 CAD, flexible up to $5,000) with milestone-based payments, a timeline of 1–3 months, and the opportunity for ongoing paid work on future phases if this collaboration is a great fit.
