We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and driven individual to lead our Assembly Department in the role of Quality Control Technician at our Port Colborne, ON facility.
- At our Port Colborne location, we are currently seeking a full-time Quality Control Technician to join our team.
- Quality Control Technician Job Description
- Review customer drawings
- Read customers specifications to ensure product conformity
- Work closely with Shop Supervisors and production. (If major issues arise with quality inspection, discuss with the Q.C. Supervisor and not production. Q.C. Supervisor will work with Production Supervisor to resolve issue. If issue cannot be resolved they will report issue to Production Plant Manager for final resolution.)
- Generate an in process hit list and a final hit list for each product and attach to the unit
- Ensure Inspection Test & Hold Points are met
- Track and control ASME code item’s entering shop production areas
- Verify & record dimensional measurements of products
- Verify parts match the bill of material
- Work with outside and/or third-party inspectors
- Inspect and Verify Customer Supplied Product for Conformity when required (incoming inspection)
- Attach a “Green Tag” to each product after all inspection points have been satisfied
- Only products which are fabricated from an engineered drawing will receive this tag
- Photos of each product are to be taken when final inspection is completed
- Ensure all quality documentation is completed upon the shipment date of product
- Review and help maintain ISO system compliance
- Help maintain documents for quality files
- Assist in maintaining and sending quality files to customers
- Perform general shop and field services as required
- Requirements
- 3 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment required
- NDE experience an asset
- Physical stamina and strength
- Safety management mindset
- Wage
- $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
