We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist / Analyst to support a major enterprise web content management system (WCMS) upgrade. This platform underpins the organization’s Internet and Intranet environments, along with numerous web applications used across distributed sites.
As the senior QA lead, you will oversee the quality assurance strategy and lifecycle for this high-availability, mission-critical system. You will ensure all updates, integrations, and enhancements meet technical, functional, and accessibility requirements while maintaining the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Responsibilities
- Test Strategy Leadership: Lead the development and documentation of test plans, test scripts, and test data.
- Automated Testing Procedures: Establish software testing procedures for unit test, integration testing, and regression testing with a strong emphasis on automating the testing procedures.
- Testing Execution and Validation: Conduct testing of development builds in the QA environment. Perform integration/functional and system testing and establish a validation and verification capability to ensure functional and performance compliance.
- Defect Management: Identify and document software defects. Track bugs and issues using DevOps and participate with other project resources to resolve defects.
- Geographically Distributed Testing: Test solutions while considering the unique environment and constraints at missions (geographically distributed locations), such as limited bandwidth and heightened security requirements. This includes testing critical functionality, specifically the Assisted Departure forms.
- Quality and Process Improvement: Conduct documentation reviews to offer recommendations to enhance the quality of the system. Suggest and document improvements in the content management system’s applications QA process.
- Reporting: Prepare a Quality Assurance Report summarizing results, recommendations, and risks. Submit a Weekly status report on Quality Assurance activities to the Project Authority.
Qualifications
- Fluently Bilingual (ENG/FRE, FRE/ENG).
- Validly held Secret level security clearance.
- Extensive hands-on Quality Assurance testing experience.
- Familiar with performing QA testing on Web Experience Toolkits (WET) used in Government of Canada websites/applications.
- Recent experience conducting system integration and regression testing on systems that are mission critical, enterprise-wide, developed as .NET web-based applications, and using a Windows operating system.
- Experience testing solutions in geographically distributed environments (across two or more continents).
- Experience performing QA testing on web content management solutions in support of enterprise-level websites or web applications.
- QA testing web applications for accessibility compliance in accordance with WCAG 2.0 standards, specifically on Government of Canada web sites or web applications.
- Experience testing on the OpenText TeamSite platform
