Vancouver, Hybrid We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our growing Vancouver-based team as a QA Technical Lead. This hybrid role combines the benefits of team collaboration in the office with the flexibility of remote work, promoting a healthy work/life balance. As a key member of our tight-knit team, you will be responsible for driving the overall test strategy for a proprietary data warehouse, the cornerstone of our cutting-edge data security platform. Essential Functions Partner with our Product Development Tech Lead to understand the data warehouse product, current testing methodology, and test coverage Partner with the QA Team responsible for system-level testing Define overall test strategy for our proprietary data warehouse Analyze current test coverage to assess for and mitigate gaps Define tools, frameworks, and other test infrastructure in line with industry best practices Design and execute a plan for automated performance testing at scale Review existing QA Test Plan template and propose any improvements Own creation of a reporting dashboard to facilitate test traceability for releases/builds Collaborate daily with other QA members and developers on the warehouse team; provide ideas, feedback and suggestions for improvement Identify problematic areas in existing processes and take ownership for designing/implementing solutions Ensure the team provides effective and complete testing of newly released features and supported components making about which tests need to be automated and what can be done manually. Offer -Participate in decision guidance regarding methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results Participate in test automation development Own the creation of proper documentation relevant to QA processes and testing procedures Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance Experience with automated testing Experience with Linux operating systems Experience with scripting languages (preferably Bash and Python) Strong understanding of QA methodologies, validation and verification processes Experience with GitHub Action Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of NoSQL database and/or data warehouse internals Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g. Docker) Exposure to cloud-based systems (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with Agile development methodologies #LI-Hybrid #LI-MG1 The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC): 112,914.08 - 152,567.14 - 194,331.30 CAD Annual This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee’s career path history, competencies, skills, and performance, as well as the company’s annual salary budget, the customer’s program requirements, and the company’s internal equity.
