The Opportunity Our Power and Energy Solutions (PES) team is evolving to meet the needs of our growing business in the energy sector. As we expand our portfolio in carbon capture, hydrogen, and other low-carbon energy solutions, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our Engineering and Project team. Reporting to the Manager, Engineering and Projects, you will be a key member responsible for the hands-on management and successful delivery of innovative low-carbon energy projects and pilots across North America. You will work within a dynamic team to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality, contributing directly to TC Energy’s Power & Energy Solutions growth strategy. This position will require travel to various site locations on a regular basis across North America. Hours of work may need to be extended as business needs arise. What you’ll do Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for low-carbon energy projects, from initial planning and design through to commissioning and closeout. Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, utilizing project management best practices, leveraging the TC Energy’s Project Delivery System (PDS). Coordinate the preparation of engineering designs, cost estimates, and procurement plans to support project execution and investment decisions. Administer and manage project execution under various contracting models, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions. Establish and manage strong project controls for, costs, documents, Management of Change (MOC) and scheduling. Drive project progress by tracking and reporting on milestones, risks and performance issues, and implementing effective mitigation and corrective actions. Facilitate clear and consistent communication among multi-functional internal/external team members, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure alignment and resolve issues. Prepare and present regular project status reports to PES leadership and other key stakeholders. Ensure all project activities adhere to EH&S regulations, stakeholder commitments, and all permitting and regulatory compliance requirements. Analyze and resolve technical and commercial challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, compliance and operations. Apply your understanding of industry standards, applicable regulatory codes, and company standards to all project activities. Support a strong project safety culture and demonstrate a leadership style that motivates team members and fosters accountability and high performance. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or related field) or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in the development and execution of complex industrial or infrastructure projects across a wide geography base. Extensive experience in Project Management, encompassing project planning and scheduling, cost control, risk management, contract administration, and construction management. Direct experience or familiarity with carbon capture, hydrogen production, or other low-carbon technologies are considered a strong asset. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to various audiences. Experience working with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPC and EPCM) contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), engineering consultants, and developers. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and other relevant tools. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. Understanding of the regulatory framework and key stakeholders that influence energy projects in North America. Ability to travel throughout North America as required by the project.
