As a Project Manager within our Prairies & North Environment team, you’ll guide meaningful environmental assessment and permitting projects that shape resilient communities, advance major infrastructure, and support responsible development across Western and Northern Canada. You’ll collaborate with technical specialists, Indigenous communities, clients, and regulators—bringing clarity, momentum, and trusted leadership to complex, multi‑component projects.
- Your Impact
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of environmental assessment and permitting projects, ensuring quality, safety, and technical excellence.
- Manage scope, schedule, risk, budget, and performance metrics to deliver successful outcomes.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and align technical inputs across environmental, engineering, and planning disciplines.
- Develop project plans, resourcing strategies, and detailed work breakdown structures.
- Serve as a primary client contact—providing progress updates, resolving issues, and supporting invoicing and financial stewardship.
- Track project financial health, forecasts, variances, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with WSP’s project delivery framework, governance, and quality requirements.
- Identify project risks early and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Support proposal development, opportunity reviews, level‑of‑effort estimating, and strategic pursuits.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to building project management capability across the team.
- The Skills That Set You Apart
- Experience delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), regulatory submissions, permitting, field programs, or environmental planning work.
- Strong understanding of federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal environmental legislation in Western and/or Northern Canada.
- Skilled at leading meetings, coordinating diverse stakeholders, and maintaining forward momentum.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast‑paced and evolving environments.
- Proven financial acumen, including forecasting, invoicing, and project economics.
- Demonstrated ability to influence strategies, guide peers, or independently manage small‑ to mid‑sized environmental projects.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical practice.
- Assets: PMP or equivalent training; proposal leadership experience; ability to coach junior PMs.

- Compensation
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $98,000 – $131,700
- MB & ON: $89,400 – $124,900
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $88,500 – $119,300
