- Job Description
- Our Fort McMurray team has a great opportunity for a Project Coordinator, Engineer in Training! This is the ideal position for someone with proven experience providing project controls in a turnaround environment. You will have the opportunity to utilize and hone your skills in project controls, estimation and administration on technical work both in the field and in the office.
- This position will be based out of our Lot 50 location in Fort MacKay, AB.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the full lifecycle of operational projects in accordance with company project management and safety policies and procedures
- Develop documents as required for estimating, planning, and workflow
- Lead the tracking of project cost & schedule performance and report the results to project stakeholders
- Work directly with site leadership to determine project needs and provide the necessary support in project control related areas
- Implement and execute plans in the field by working as an effective member of an operations team on site
- Learn independently while seeking advice, guidance and assistance from department leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2+ years of project coordination experience is required
- Undergraduate Engineering Degree (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Process) is preferred
- Experience in the field working in a petrochemical plant, or experience in a MOD Yard/fabrication facility is an asset
- Registered or eligible for enrolment as an EIT with APEGA is an asset
- Knowledge of project management principles, concepts, practices, processes, expectations along change management processes is considered an asset.
- Proven ability to interpret and understand isometric drawings and construction plans.
- Experience with mechanical fabrication processes and related quality control requirements is an asset.
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel) and PowerBi.
- Able to provide a negative result on pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Valid Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
