Why You’ll Love This Role Lumentum is building an exciting new business around Optical Circuit Switching and you have the opportunity to play a key role as a member of the Product Line Management team. Work with a highly motivated organization focused on leading the market and scaling our business in a key high growth area. This is a senior role where you can have a very direct impact on Lumentum’s future success. What You’ll Be Doing The PLM role is extremely broad, with overall accountability for management of the product portfolio from business justification to end of life. This is a leadership role and involves working closely with partners across the organization to achieve business goals. Key responsibilities include: Actively managing P&L drivers including revenue, product and overhead costs, inventory, margin and capacity investment Partnering with Operations and Finance to drive business execution. Working closely with customers to understand their needs and how we can best address them. Market analysis to assess TAM/SAM/SOM, identify future product opportunities and understand the competition Providing product definition to R&D to ensure the development of the right products on time at a cost that ensures profitability Driving increased market share through targeted and prioritized design win activity working closely with Sales and R&D and teams. Responsible for developing pricing strategy and direct pricing for current product(s) in line with business unit profitability targets including setting pricing guidelines/price lists for sales and driving commercial strategies and customer price negotiations Ownership of the product forecast and volume / capacity requirements. Driving cost reduction plans to meet product(s) gross-margin targets, Ownership of the broader technology and product roadmap definition in line with the company strategy and technology investments. Communication and alignment on product strategy with customers. Working closely with Marketing to champion products within the market and developing product launch strategies for new products What We’re Looking For Education: Degree in technical field such as engineering, physics, optics or semiconductors or business degree with relevant technical experience. Experience: The ideal candidate will have: 10+ years relevant working experience in a PLM, senior engineering or business operations role. Understanding of the market and competitive environment for OCS Understanding of hyperscale datacenter networking and/or AI cluster networking would be a big plus. Solid understanding of basic optical communication system concepts is a plus.
