Operate pumping systems. Analyze test results and instrument readings. Collect and test water samples for chemical and bacterial content. Complete and maintain plant logs and reports. Make adjustments to plant equipment and systems. Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally. Monitor and read recording instruments to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure plant systems and equipment are operating within prescribed limits. Patrol plant to check pumps, motors, filters, chlorinators and other plant equipment. Transport and mix chemicals, and operate equipment used to unload chemicals. Maintain work records and logs. Hazardous products handling and storage. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Water Treatment Certificate (Levels I, II, III or IV).
