Role description: Arcadis is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior ProjectManager to join our Mobility Advisory Ontario team. This senior-level role will report to the Business Unit Director, Mobility Advisory, Ontario. You will be responsible for supporting the Business Unit Director and the team, including working with other senior members of the Mobility team. In this senior-level role you will have extensive experience in a range of transportation planning, public transit (including BRT and LRT), active transportation, business cases, strategy and major projects. You will have a passion for sharing your knowledge and being an advisor and mentor to your colleagues, building skill sets, capability and quality work within the team. The ideal candidate will also have experience leading consultation programs with stakeholders, agencies, and the public for multi-modal transportation planning and engineering projects. You should have extensive leadership skills, strong project management and strategic problem-solving skills. The range of work includes transportation and transit projects including master plans, active transportation projects, feasibility studies, business cases, as well as transportation economics and equity, among other areas. You will lead the development and implementation of planning solutions, manage client relationships at the senior management level, and provide oversight and mentorship to a dynamic team of engineers and planners when collaborating on projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on transformative projects, contribute to the development of sustainable transportation systems, and build strong relationships with public and private sector clients in the Toronto, the broader Ontario, and Eastern Canada markets. The role also requires collaboration with colleagues across Canada to grow and expand the Mobility Advisory practice. Role accountabilities: Manage/lead transportation projects including leading a project team and undertaking and overseeing project tasks. Provide expert guidance and project oversight in the development of innovative transportation and transit solutions and ensure work meets standards and client expectations. Support multi-disciplinary projects collaborating across Mobility Advisory and other GBAs and provide project reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Lead/manage transportation, active transportation and transit planning projects including network analysis, data analysis, policy analysis and operations analysis, and development of transportation and active transportation plans and policies. Lead/manage major transit/transportation studies, involving the need and justification for new transportation projects, analysis of alternatives, transportation system/network planning and operations, transportation master plans, new mobility choices, infrastructure projects, and sustainable transportation. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transportation and transit planning and engineering, incorporating new strategies to improve efficiency and sustainability. Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet required standards and specifications. Build and maintain strong business relationships with public and private sector clients, including relationship management at senior management levels to ensure alignment with broader goals. Support business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and presenting to prospective clients. Stay current with Ontario and Eastern Canada market conditions, including transportation policies, standards, and trends. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Planning or Civil Engineering or a related field. 15+ years of relevant planning / engineering experience, including leadership of the development and implementation of transportation solutions related to sustainable programs. Recognized expert in strategic planning, public transportation systems, and active transportation programs. Proven project success on various sized projects including effective direction of project teams for project execution. The salary range for this position is $112,000 - $162,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
