• The Porter functions within Central Portering and is responsible for transporting and distributing equipment, supplies, food and linen as well as transporting patients.

• 1. Grade 12 (preferred)
• 2. Oral and written English ability
• 3. Ability to identify and respond to priorities
• 4. Ability to understand and follow directions
• 5. Ability to adjust to handling of highs and lows in providing services
• 6. Good interpersonal and communication skills
• 7. Ability to operate tow motor, where applicable
• 8. Ability to operate delivery equipment
• 9. Ability to push, pull and lift heavy equipment and stand constantly
• 10. Ability to lift 25 pounds (linen)
• 11. Ability to move patients
