About

BJAK is Southeast Asia’s largest digital insurance platform, headquartered in Malaysia with operations in Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan. Through Bjak.com, we help millions find affordable and comprehensive protection by simplifying complex financial services through technology. We’re lean, ambitious, and solving meaningful problems at scale. Our investments in AI, automation, and digital infrastructure support our mission to make financial services faster, smarter, and more accessible.

At BJAK, we’re scaling quickly across Southeast Asia, and we’re looking for a PMO to help turn strategy into execution. Sitting within the CEO's Office, this role partners closely with department heads (Ops, Marketing, Finance, HR, and more) to push critical initiatives forward and keep the entire business aligned and moving efficiently.

This is not a passive reporting role - it’s a high-ownership, high-impact position where you’ll be solving ambiguous challenges, managing executive-level projects, and ensuring deliverables actually get delivered. Expect strategic exposure and hands-on involvement, often at the same time.

Why This Role Matters

  • You’ll serve as the executional arm of the CEO’s priorities across the company
  • You’ll create structure and clarity in a fast-moving, often ambiguous environment
  • You’ll be a force multiplier across departments by improving focus, alignment, and delivery
  • Your work directly influences company growth, productivity, and transformation

What You’ll Do

  • Build and implement a structured PMO framework to improve execution across departments
  • Partner with leadership to translate business objectives into actionable, measurable projects
  • Lead company-wide initiatives, from transformation to operational scaling
  • Track, report, and optimise project KPIs; proactively identify bottlenecks and solutions
  • Facilitate cross-functional syncs, working sessions, and check-ins to ensure timely delivery
  • Provide strategic recommendations on process improvements, business challenges, and efficiency gaps
  • Create project governance best practices and scalable reporting templates
  • Use tools like Jira or project trackers to centralise execution and ensure visibility

You’ll Thrive Here If You

  • Have a strong bias for action and don’t wait around for instructions - you move fast and figure things out
  • Highly organised and thrive in managing multiple work-streams with tight deadlines
  • Can quickly zoom in and out, from strategic thinking to hands-on coordination
  • Work well with ambiguity and competing priorities - you bring clarity, not wait for it
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Are comfortable with late nights or weekend syncs when pushing key initiatives
  • Want to work closely with founders and leadership in a high-growth environment
  • Are outcome-driven and relentlessly focused on impact, not just activity

Requirements

Requirements

  • 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in project management, business operations, or strategy execution
  • Consulting background (Big 4 or equivalent) is highly preferred
  • Strong grasp of PMO best practices, project governance, and strategic frameworks
  • Demonstrated success leading high-impact, cross-functional projects
  • Experience working with C-level stakeholders and aligning diverse teams
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesise insights into action plans
  • Comfortable with digital tools (e.g., Jira, Notion, Trello, Excel, dashboards)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Nice to Have

  • MBA or Master’s in Business, Strategy, or a related field
  • Experience in digital transformation or enterprise process optimization
  • Knowledge of OKR implementation, agile/scrum methodologies, or operational scaling in startups

Benefits

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive compensation aligned with your impact
  • Fast-track career growth with direct exposure to leadership and decision-making
  • A flat, high-ownership environment where initiative is valued and rewarded
  • Remote flexibility with autonomy in how you deliver results
  • A collaborative, ambitious team that values speed, clarity, and excellence
  • The opportunity to shape meaningful outcomes in a high-growth regional fintech powered by AI
