Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Odours. Dangerous. Work setting: Plastic products manufacturers. Industrial. Tasks: Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and who fabricate, assemble, finish or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Participate in marketing plans and implementation. Oversee safety of operations. Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments. Monitor quality and production levels. Maintain records on inventory control system. Enforce policies and procedures. Resolve conflict situations. Monitor staff performance . Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages. Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets.
