Responsibilities
Jacketed Piping Assembly & Drawing Interpretation:
Take the lead in assembling complex, multi-layered jacketed piping systems, accurately following specifications from P&ID and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
Advanced Fabrication Work:
Execute precise fabrication tasks, including specialized cutting, threading, and custom modifications on industrial components, ensuring high-quality results.
Connection Integrity & Pressure Testing:
Act as the go-to expert for final flange bolt-ups, hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure testing, and verifying that all connections meet rigorous safety and performance standards.
Skid & Module Construction Support:
Provide technical support for module and skid assembly, ensuring proper installation of critical valves, supports, and other structural elements with exacting accuracy.
Qualifications
This role is specifically designed for a 3rd-Year Pipefitter Apprentice with advanced proficiency — it is not a training position for foundational skills. Only apply if you can confidently demonstrate expertise in all areas listed below:
Certification Required: Must hold a valid 3rd-Year Registered Apprentice Pipefitter ticket.
High-Pressure Assembly Experience: Proven hands-on experience with complex, precision flange connections in high-pressure systems.
Pressure Testing Expertise: Documented ability to conduct, record, and evaluate both hydrostatic and pneumatic tests.
Component Knowledge: In-depth, practical understanding of critical elements, including proper installation and sealing of Victaulic gaskets.
Sizing Accuracy: Able to quickly select and use the correct stud and gasket sizes for common flanges with confidence.
Torque Precision: Demonstrated capability to apply exact torque values, achieving leak-free, first-time assemblies on critical industrial systems.
Attention to Detail: Strong commitment to quality and accuracy, minimizing errors and rework.
Professional Attributes: Reliable, safety-conscious, and effective in a collaborative, fast-paced fabrication environment.
Additional Requirements: Must provide personal basic hand tools and have dependable transportation to the Nisku facility.
