We estimate the hourly compensation to range from $23 to $24, contingent upon your proficiency with Kroll, billing, adjudication, and (preferably) experience with specialty medications.
This is a full-time contract position lasting up to three months, subject to performance, with the possibility of extension.
The pharmacy environment is pristine, ergonomically focused, technologically advanced, and aesthetically pleasing.
The schedule runs Monday through Friday, consisting of 8-hour shifts scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities
Pharmacy Assistant (Fast-Paced Kroll Data Entry and Patient Service) - 3-month contract (extension potential) - Halifax, NS
Oversee various responsibilities involving patient care and billing, specifically prioritizing the resolution of unfilled prescriptions using the Kroll system.
Handle dispensing duties and manage patient medication administration records within Kroll.
Perform comprehensive reviews of patient histories to verify file completeness, liaising with Patient Support Programs or other relevant bodies to confirm essential details.
Exhibit excellent English communication abilities, especially during telephone and written interactions. Calls must be handled with professionalism, empathy, and clarity, often utilizing problem-solving skills to assist patients managing diverse health conditions.
Contact patients regarding unpaid account balances, ensuring the nature of the collection inquiry is explained clearly and effectively.
Execute data entry responsibilities, including operating within Kroll and managing manual submissions for retroactive billing claims.
Maintain current workflow status, ensuring prompt patient follow-ups and the resolution of any pending billing matters.
Qualifications

A minimum of 2 to 3 years of prior experience as a pharmacy assistant in any practice environment is required to ensure your readiness for the role.
Mandatory experience handling government (Pharmacare/public) billing and claims adjudication is required.
Demonstrated experience managing private insurance billing and adjudication is also strictly required.
Proficiency using Kroll in a moderate-to-high volume pharmacy is preferred; however, candidates with robust billing and adjudication expertise using other pharmacy management systems are encouraged to apply.
Exceptional communication abilities are vital for this position.
This position requires 100% on-site attendance (it is not a remote or hybrid opportunity).
A collaborative team attitude, self-motivation, and a genuine interest in working within a specialty environment are essential!
