- About this role
- This is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract.
- The People Operations & Experience Coordinator is responsible for delivering a seamless and engaging employee experience across Canada and the UK. With a strong focus on onboarding, offboarding, lifecycle support and office operations, this hybrid role ensures that every employee journey - from Day 1 to departure - is thoughtful, consistent, and aligned with The EH Way.
- This is a remote-first role; however, as it includes office management responsibilities, your home base will be in the Toronto area, and you’ll visit our Toronto HQ about once every two weeks to keep things running smoothly.
- You’ll lead the delivery of the EH Way onboarding program for new hires, support smooth offboarding processes, and manage clear, supportive transitions for employees taking or returning from all leave types. In addition, you’ll provide timely support through Admin Tickets, maintain accuracy across HR systems, and uphold compliance with internal processes and external regulations.
- This role requires exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a service-first mindset. - Beyond lifecycle support, you’ll play a key role in other People Operations functions, including benefits administration, payroll support, managing all Toronto HQ office logistics, and system workflows. You’ll help coordinate recognition and quarterly social initiatives, respond to employee queries, and contribute to the processes that keep the People team running effectively.
- Working closely with the People Operations & Experience Lead, you’ll not only deliver a first-class employee experience but also continuously look for opportunities to streamline workflows, embed self-service tools, and integrate AI where it makes sense. This is a hands-on role that demands operational confidence, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for people and culture.

- People experience
- Lead and deliver Canadian and UK onboarding programs, ensuring new hires experience a welcoming and well-structured entry into the business.
- Manage offboarding processes, including system access removal, final payroll reconciliation, and exit logistics.
- Support employees through parental/maternity and other leave type transitions, ensuring clear communications, smooth handovers, and thoughtful reintegration.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in HR systems, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, data privacy requirements, and internal policies.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process automation, self-service, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- People operations
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries across Canada and the UK via Admin Tickets (Jira).
- Provide timely, accurate responses for requests such as employment letters, policy questions, and benefits support.
- Set up and maintain employee benefits, ensuring data accuracy across our HR tech stack.
- Assist with payroll-related tasks, including input, reconciliation, and coordination with finance as needed.
- Accurately prepare and submit Records of Employment (ROEs) in a timely manner.
- Support the administration of float cards, stipends, and employee perks.
- Support the delivery of cyclical People Operations initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, policy reviews) and assist with ad hoc projects.
- Contribute to internal communications, ensuring key updates, and announcements are shared clearly and consistently.
- Partner with the People Operations & Experience Lead, People Partners, and other global stakeholders to improve workflows and policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Partnerships, and IT to support smooth operations.
- Office responsibilities (Toronto HQ)
- Act as the primary contact for all office inquiries (Slack, email, in-person).
- Manage subtenant relationships and coordinate building requests via the Northam Portal.
- Oversee access management through the Avigilon Alta (formerly Open Path) system.
- Maintain office supplies, corporate mail, refreshment inventory, and maintain a tidy shared workspace.
- Maintain the shared office calendar and manage room bookings.
- Lead the Toronto HQ lease closure project (target: 2027).
- Complete Fire Warden training and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
- Partner with the People Operations & Experience Lead on quarterly office events, overseeing logistics, vendors, and onsite execution.

- You're detail-oriented and systems-savvy, with experience maintaining accuracy across HR platforms and ensuring compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements.
- You leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across Performance Operations and office workflows.
- You have strong written and verbal communicator; ensures clarity and consistency across internal updates and communications.
