Responsibilities ...
In this Payroll Clerk position located in Toronto, you will be responsible for the following:
- Serve as the primary system administrator and expert user for the UKG Time and Attendance module.
- Audit, verify, and reconcile daily and weekly employee timesheets, clockings, and time-off requests within the UKG system for accuracy and managerial approval.
- Process multi-cycle payroll (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly) for all employees, ensuring timely submission and disbursement.
- Investigate and resolve all attendance, overtime, and time-off discrepancies by communicating directly with employees and department managers.
- Accurately calculate and process all pay components, including wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and voluntary/involuntary deductions.
- Ensure timely and correct processing of new hires, terminations, employee transfers, and changes to pay rates or benefits.
- Generate and analyze standard and custom labor reports from UKG to monitor attendance trends, compliance, and labor distribution.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee records, personal information, and proprietary payroll data.
- Stay current with changes to federal, state, and local wage and hour laws to maintain full compliance across all payroll and timekeeping practices.
- Act as a primary contact for all employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and time tracking policies, providing professional and timely resolutions.
Qualifications
In this Payroll Clerk position located in Toronto, we are looking for:
- PCP or PLP designation preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience processing payroll for Canadian employees is required.
- Multiprovince payroll processing experience is required.
- Experience with UKG and/or Kronos are required.
- Experience processing payroll for Ontario employees is required.
